Fascination
During his time in Canada, Harry Brunner met a group of local artists who introduced him to oil painting. A wild bunch living in their small studios among paint tubes, they gave Brunner the opportunity to experiment a bit with brush and color. In the following decades, oil painting became, alongside goldsmithing and sculpture, the artist's great passion.
Pendant son séjour au Canada, Harry Brunner fait la connaissance d’un groupe d’artistes locaux qui lui permettent de se lancer dans la peinture à l’huile. Une troupe sauvage qui vit dans leurs petits ateliers entre les tubes de peinture et donne à Brunner l’occasion d’expérimenter lui-même un peu avec le pinceau et la couleur. Au cours des décennies suivantes, la peinture à l’huile devient, aux côtés de l’orfèvrerie et de la sculpture, la grande passion de l’artiste.
